The following is the complete content of a letter from The Honorable Robert J. James, Chief Judge of the Superior Court of Douglas Judicial Circuit and Administrative Judge to Marquitta Portman:

RE:  Civil Action File 99-1-794135 Portman vs. Kreeger, et al

Dear Ms. Portman:

I became Administrative Judge on July 1st, 2000. As I had no authority to make an assignment in May 2000, the order of Judge Nix of the Cobb Superior Court dated May 10, 2000 requesting the assignment of a Superior Court Judge to hear this matter was forwarded to the Seventh District Court Administrator so that the District Administrative Judge could make that appointment. It is our understanding that was done, but if this is incorrect we will make such an assignment when the proper request is received.
