RE: Threat of litigation for libel and response

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

The attached emails came to me from a person identified only as Neil Bibbins. The third attachment is my response. The implication is clear that Mr. Bibbins is speaking on behalf of Lycos, Inc., although he does not identify himself by role, responsibility, or authority.

Obviously, I am very concerned about maintaining my web sites at Angelfire and about doing that within the Terms of Service. I remain in question, but want to know that I am dealing with Lycos, Inc., rather than with someone who simply infers professional affiliation.

My letter of February 2, 2000 asked that you notify me directly if Lycos, Inc. believes that I have violated my agreement with Angelfire. I regret that I feel compelled to request a response by U.S. mail concerning these recent emails from Neil Bibbins, but I do need clarification of his relationship to Lycos, Inc. I have enclosed a stamped, self-addressed envelope for your reply.
